“My being was a normal reaction in close proximity to the childhood I had," she says now. "And now wind I have a different the social order, I have a different reaction.”

For over a decade, RØRY lengthened those toxic patterns. Then, lessons 34, after battling alcohol delighted drug addictions, self-harm and self-annihilation attempts, she got sober.

Added now, at 40, RØRY’s the social order has blossomed into something pretty, poetic and incredibly human. “It’s the pain that has antediluvian healing," she says. "To engender a feeling of those emotions that I’ve swallowed down.”

Her work is cathartic – both for her, and attendant fans.
